 | Professional Profile |
Alice E. Dolan earned her law degree from the John Marshall Law School in 1981. Since graduation, her practice has centered on representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, including patients or their families in medical malpractice actions.
Her efforts have resulted in settlements and jury verdicts in excess of $1 million dollars. She obtained a settlement in excess of $5 million for a Will County man whose vision was significantly impaired from injuries he received while cleaning farm equipment. It is particularly gratifying to Ms. Dolan that the young man has been able to use the proceeds of the settlement for several corneal transplants, the most recent of which appears to have been successful. She secured a jury verdict in excess of $1 million for a young man for injuries he suffered when he fell down an elevator shaft in his apartment building. She secured $925,000 for the estate of a woman whose surgeon negligently performed a thyroidectomy; a $1.3 million settlement for a young man who developed RSD following an ankle fracture from a slip and fall at Navy Pier, and a jury verdict of $1.9 million for a 32-year-old man who suffered a back injury during a work hardening program. Ms. Dolan represents the families of several women who have died as a result of untimely diagnosed breast cancer. Ms. Dolan has a particular interest in representing children who have been injured as a result of the negligence of property owners or health care providers. |
